Euphoria Engine’s Possibilities for GTA IV

Rockstar and NaturalMotion announced a partnership on February 27, 2007. While the announcement itself was predictably vague, GTA fans immediately caught on, and found several revealing clues. The announcement itself, reads as follows (shortened and emphasized at GTANet’s discretion): “Oxford, UK — Feb. 27, 2007 — NaturalMotion, the award-winning developer of 3D animation technology based on Dynamic Motion Synthesis (DMS), today announced

Phillip Michael Thomas to return as Lance Vance?

A recent article at Kikizo Games claims that Phillip Michael Thomas (of Miami Vice fame) will return as the voice behind Lance Vance. Kikizo cites games’ Magazine as the source of this information. The article, however, seems to have confused Lance Vance with Victor Vance, the latter of which is the actual protagonist for Vice City Stories. Quote: “the 57-year-old Thomas plays the lead

Ken Rosenberg in Vice City Stories?

Jordan over at PlanetGTA has made an interesting discovery which suggests that Ken Rosenberg will feature in GTA: Vice City Stories: This is the sign which appears outside Ken’s office in Washington Beach. Notice that it says “since: 1984”, which means that Ken has been practicing law in Vice City since 1984 – the year when Vice City Stories takes place.

More Boxart Analysis

After further inspection, I noticed the two characters at the bottom bare a close resemblance to Colonel Cortez and his right hand man Gonzales. In GTA Vice City, Cortez was forced to leave the city after running into problems with the French, and his no.2 Gonzales was killed during the mission “Treacherous Swine”. This means that – if these two characters are definitely who

GTA: Vice City Stories Boxart Released

R* have just released the boxart for Vice City Stories, see below. Observations: I’m pretty sure the guy on the left is Umberto Robina (Cuban leader) and I’m also sure the guy at the top is not Mitch Baker (that’s not to say he won’t be in the game, however). Also, judging by the colourful clothing etc. I think it’s safe to

Liberty City Stories for PS2 delayed?

Eurogamer are reporting of a possible delay of the PS2 version of Liberty City Stories. Rockstar had never announced a specific date, though a late-April release was expected. “Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories won’t be out on PlayStation 2 until at least the end of May, Rockstar reckons. Speaking to Eurogamer today, a spokesperson said “it’s looking like it’ll be

“GTA: Land Of The Free”

Play Magazine (UK) have published a four-page article containing rumours, speculation and a fake map plus details of how they believe GTA4 will look. They’ve named it “GTA: Land Of The Free”, which basically consists of ten major US cities, including those featured in previous GTA titles. Ten cities seems a bit far fetched in my opinion, but they do

San Andreas Xbox Expectations

Judging from the current poll, interest in the Xbox version of GTA San Andreas is not as high as expected. Only 15% of answerers showed interest for purchasing the Xbox title, the percentage will undoubtedly change as the release date draws closer. I’d like to go over some basic details of the Xbox release. Release Date: 7th of June (US), 10th of

Seedy San Fierro Speculation.

As I sit here, eating my waffles, watching “I Love the 90s”, scanning through the new screenshots from that German magazine, I have two thoughts going through my head: how amazing blueberry pancakes are with maple syrup, and “What about San Fierro?” And what about San Fierro? I mean, what about the storyline, what about the seedy underground crime syndicates

News Speculation Leaks from German Publication

A game map (albeit a fake one) for San Andreas was leaked to the internet today, the source a German gaming publication. While the map is small and lacks detail, it is an above average representation of what we can expect from the real map. An additional screenshot has also leaked from the same source. The screen is of a
