Welcome to Snap Saturday, GTANet’s ode to the virtual photography community who continue to capture some amazingly creative shots across GTA and Red Dead.
Last week, we highlighted The Moon – our ever-orbiting satellite that has so much mystical, mythological and written-historical significance.
This week, we choose its partner – the Sun. It’s the star at the centre of our Solar System, and helps light the Moon but also lights our days – it’s our timekeeper. Just like The Moon, it has a lot of mystical and mythological meaning, having its own deities and worship in many cultures – Helios, Sol, Surya, and many other deities and personifications across all ancient and modern creeds.
Much like the Moon it is a Major Arcana in traditional tarot decks, and it’s said it reflects happiness, contentment, vitality, self-confidence and success, which is what we are all needing in this day and age, aren’t we?
Lighting in Rockstar’s games has always been marvellous, even more so when the virtual photography community applies their own touch of skill to the pictures they take. So this week, we highlight the star that illuminates us all – in GTA, and Red Dead. Enjoy, and onwards to happiness.
