Welcome to Snap Saturday, GTANet’s ode to the virtual photography community who continue to capture some amazingly creative shots across GTA and Red Dead.
It’s been a while since we’ve had a dedicated Red Dead Snap Saturday, and given the community’s clamour for more Red Dead Online content and concerns as to where the game is headed, I thought it was a good idea to give this great game, story mode and online, the attention it deserves (in all honesty this was planned even before the new event month for RDO).
The last two years have been difficult for many of us, in and outside gaming circles, in real life and virtual life. The coronavirus pandemic has sent a lot of people into mentally difficult states, and one of the escapes has been videogames, one of those being RDR2 and its Online counterpart for many.
This week, we’re going to highlight companionship. Meeting friends and strangers in Red Dead Online, your noble steed in either of the modes, and all the moments with others that matter in a situation where we can barely get out of the house in the real world.
That said, remember to be kind to each other, don’t respond to dissatisfaction with hate, every player in an online game, every nickname on social media has a person attached to it. The only way we can thrive as a society who wants things to change in the world is to peacefully unite, for the better and for the worse. Complain, don’t target individuals. Protest respectfully. Disagree respectfully – what would be a world without disagreements and if everyone were the same? Just don’t be offensive. At the end of the day we’re all human. Enjoy.
Post your photos on GTAForums or use the #GTAOnline / #RedDeadOnline / #RedDeadRedemption2 hashtags on Twitter and you might see your efforts highlighted in future GTANet Snap Saturdays!
