Welcome to Snap Saturday, GTANet’s ode to the virtual photography community who continue to capture some amazingly creative shots across GTA and Red Dead.
Just yesterday marked the 5th anniversary of Red Dead Redemption 2, a gaming industry hallmark that has left an impact on players and developers alike. Following the story of Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde Gang at the very end of the Wild West era, it portrays a poignant story of resilience, friendship and even betrayal, a change from games like GTA.
It has been a hell of a journey since the release of RDR2, with us having been able to meet and greet the great actors behind the characters, and plenty of people having been influenced by the game in all sorts of ways, including helping them go through difficult times. With this, it’s also introduced one of Rockstar’s most detailed and prettiest worlds, one that has been used non-stop for Virtual Photography for 6 years now, and one that players still immerse themselves in deeply.
This week, we take a short break from the Halloween hijinks in modern-era Los Santos to spin up our time machine and go back to where it all began for Arthur Morgan and the gang – from characters to landscapes, all from your celebratory lenses. Enjoy and happy anniversary! 🤠
